Geoff Wilson’s interest
in architecture and architectural salvage dates back to the
1970’s. When hearing that so much of Ireland’s architectural
heritage was being lost to the wrecking ball and the landfill
site. This interest became a passion pioneering the salvage
industry in Northern Ireland. Over the years he has been
involved with many reclamation projects both at home and abroad,
the most recent being the 19th century wing of the Royal Victoria
Hospital Belfast.
The
McKinley family have been building in Northern Ireland for three
generations. With a background in architecture, John developed
a passion for restoration and preserving bygone architecture.
Carrying on in his forefathers footsteps, John established McKinley
Construction. The company ethos was to concentrate on building
charming ‘one off’ homes, combining craftsmanship
and authentic materials. Building homes of distinction, he surpasses
the demands of those who dream of something ‘a little
bit out of the ordinary’.
