It is said that the view from Poplar Hill takes in 5 counties and indeed the vista is breathtaking; from Cavehill to the Glenshane pass, the expanse of Lough Neagh, the Lagan Valley, all visible on clear and even not so clear days.

Ivy Cottage is ideally situated close to the main transport corridors of the M1 and A1, whilst maintaing the quiet approaches of typcial County Down country roads. Belfast can be reached in 25 mins, Dublin in 2 hours by car.

By rail both cities are accessible via the NIR station in nearby Moria 10 minutes drive away.

Belfast International Airport and Belfast City Airport are both a 30 minute drive making Ivy Cottage an ideal location for commuting to Britain and Europe.

Leisure activities available close to Ivy Cottagel include the magnificent 18 hole Golf course at Edenmore which also has a state-of-the-art gymnasium in the clubhouse. Horse riding and all sorts of other equestrian sports abound in these hills, and leisure centres at Dromore and Lisburn are easily reached.

All the watersport facilities of Lough Neagh are about 20 minutes away by car as is the dry ski slope at Criagavon.
